We were thrilled to be asked again this year to print the 2014 Paper Party invitations. This year’s invitation for the amazing event put on by Nole Garey at Oh So Beautiful Paper was designed by Mr. Boddington’s Studio, and we printed the invitations on Mohawk Superfine paper. Take a look at some of the photos – didn’t the invitations turn out beautifully? We love the calligraphy from Michele at Meant to Be Calligraphy and the stamps & envelope liners add a fun finishing touch!

Our Brynn Bat Mitzvah invitations look so cheerful and fun with bright ink colors! We’d carry the colorful theme from this cute customization all the way through to the celebration with vibrant flowers and paper decor, a colorful cake and the occasional splash of sparkle.

Our Peyton Bat Mitzvah invitations are all about making a statement. These bold, color-blocked invites feature a vibrant ocean folio with hot pink stripes and silver matte foil stamping. For a Peyton-inspired party, we’d tie in the cute star motif from the invitations with starry paper garland and other decorative elements (like paper poms and straws!) and colorful macarons to match.

Simple and chic, our Fitzroy design is a perfect choice for an elegant, black tie wedding. Allison and Steven chose our classic black ink on ivory paper for their letterpress wedding invitations, which feature Plaza, one of our exclusive calligraphy fonts. Our Fitzroy pattern was used for the envelope liners and tied everything together in the most sophisticated way.

Create a cute ombre effect by using some of our newest double-sided gift wrap! We created a peachy ombre effect on this tiered stack of gifts by using the single-color sides our Shimmer, Jute and Papaya gift wraps. We tied everything together with a sheer white ribbon and topped it off with one of our shiny silver foil gift labels for a polished finish. These look almost too pretty to open, don’t you think?
We love the gorgeous golden shine that the giant monogram on our Finley customization adds to the invitation suite (which also features an incredible hot pink liner and a zebra print invitation sleeve!). For a Finley fete, we’d have all gold everything – with lots of pops of pink.

For our Roxbury B’not Mitzvah invitations, we picture a vibrant celebration filled with lots of color and style. This invitation suite features a variety of our patterns in sea mist and papaya inks, so for a Roxbury-styled party we’d have colorful candy, fun fizzy drinks and a cute photobooth backdrop with colors and patterns to play off the invitations.

We’re back from our annual trip to the National Stationery Show, where a handful of members from the Smock team enjoyed a fun, paper-filled week and got the chance to see a lot of our amazing retailers! We made some changes to our booth design this year, switching from large, panel displays to sleek shelves for our greeting cards, and selecting new fabric and carpeting. One of our favorite changes for this year was our decorative gift wrap display! Each year we also create a decorative element to dress up our booth, and for this year we decided to make decorative diamonds using our new gift wrap. Check out some of our shots from set-up and the finished booth!
We were also honored by the Greeting Card Association with our third (!) Louie Award for our “Elfing” holiday card in the humorous holiday card category $3.50 and up. The GCA put on an amazing gala for the Louie Awards, which featured a cute candy theme (check out those giant gumdrops!) that was also present in the Louie Award Exhibit at the Javits Center during the show.
One of our favorite things about the Stationery Show? Paper Party! We were sponsors again this year for the Oh So Beautiful Paper 2014 Paper Party, and we had the pleasure of collaborating with Mohawk Paper and Mr. Boddington’s Studio to create the invitations for the event. Our gift wrap was even used to make giant paper flowers for some of the Paper Party decor!
Be sure to check out our new arrivals to see all of the new cards, gift wrap, boxes, and more that debuted at the show! Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi at our booth!

Our new Finley Bat Mitzvah invitations are equal parts feminine, elegant, and youthful. Printed in our violet + gossamer inks on our new, ultra thick 3-ply paper and accented with tawny matte foil, these square invitations call for a celebration filled with pretty floral decor and the sweetest of treats.

Our festive new Dots Bat Mitzvah invitation suite has party written all over it! Big, playful dots surround the invitations and other suite pieces, while gold matte foil makes this design shine. For a Dots-styled celebration, we picture lots of fun gold accents — like striped gold straws and glittery golden donuts!
