Brought to us by our friends at Alphagraphics in Chicago, the first runner-up in our Smock Design Contest is this truly customized letterpress social note in our Lashar design. It features fabulous edge painting, pattern backing and a gorgeous lined envelope for a look that is totally luxe and completely personalized. Letterpress printed in red and pool inks, the card itself showcases gorgeous red patterned backing in our champlain pattern. It’s edge painted in espresso and then paired with an envelope lined in our payette pattern in espresso ink. This is truly a piece where every detail was considered – the front of the card even features beautiful hand calligraphy in red ink. Smock’s Creative Director, Amy Graham Stigler, fell in love with this customization for it’s unique play between pattern and color. We’d love to be the recipients of one of these amazingly beautiful letterpress correspondence cards!
Thank you to Alphagraphics for sending us such a truly unique creation!
These beautiful letterpress place cards are one of our new favorite Smock customizations! Based on our Lashar letterpress wedding invitation design, they feature letterpress printing in gold paired with gorgeous custom hand calligraphy by Smock’s Master Calligrapher, Debi Zeinert of The Blooming Quill.
The bright raspberry ink of the calligraphy coordinates perfectly with the raspberry pattern backing in our Taihu pattern for a look that is truly elegant. What guest wouldn’t love to arrive at an event and see their name displayed in such a luxurious fashion? Add personalized letterpress place cards to our list of must haves!
These letterpress wedding invitations, paired with a custom folio, are truly exceptional, one of those amazing pieces we look forward to printing. The invitation is our Lashar design boasting a very regal gold and eggplant ink color combination with custom calligraphy accents in Clermont paired with our Cooper font in all caps. The folio features our Sottern pattern in gold on the exterior and our Sinclair pattern in eggplant on the interior. The envelope liner is just as pretty, showcasing our ever popular Seneca Stripe pattern in gold for a complete package that is nothing short of extraordinary. Wouldn’t you just love to have one of these beautiful creations land in your mail box?
Thank you to Inklinations in Manhasset, NY for sending us this beautiful wedding invitation customization!
Papery & Cakery is a stationery and patisserie boutique in Boca Raton, Florida that we’re proud to say offers Smock’s letterpress wedding invitations. This week we had the great pleasure of being featured in their newsletter and also on their lovely blog as newlyweds Laura and Hugo used our Lashar design as the invitations to their recent wedding in Honduras. We were blown away at the amazingly beautiful details of their event and we just had to share them with you. Check out that gorgeous cake!

Laura and Hugo’s invitations featured a truly timeless and elegant combination of espresso ink paired with a letterpress blind deboss and beautiful spring green envelope liners in our Champlain pattern. Letterpress printed on our white bamboo paper, the look is crisp and completely sophisticated.
Laura and Hugo also opted for letterpress printed ceremony program covers, which are absolutely stunning. All of their pieces were printed in Spanish for their Honduras event.
Thank you so much to Laura, Hugo and Niki of Paper & Cakery for letting us share your amazing wedding. Congratulations and best wishes from all of us at Smock!
We were thrilled to print these Spanish language letterpress wedding invitations for a wedding in Honduras. This Lashar wedding invitation features the elegant combination of espresso ink + a letterpress blind deboss, paired with spring green envelope liners in the Champlain pattern– crisp and timeless on white bamboo paper. This is definitely a heirloom wedding invitation! Also check out the Lashar program cover below, the perfect accessory to a sophisticated wedding reception. We have a feeling gold is going to be the big color in the world of 2009 letterpress wedding invitations. Not a gaudy old-fashioned over the top gold of course, but an elegant, pretty, sophisticated, modern gold. We love our Lashar design letterpressed in gold + black (with the invitations, reply cards, and place cards backed in a cool flood of raspberry). Both the invitation envelopes and the reply card envelopes are lined with our Marev pattern in gold. Wow.
We loved the pairing of this airy envelope liner (the Jusan pattern in lake) + eggplant ink/a blind deboss on the Lashar invitation. Just a lovely letterpress invitation all around….sent to us by the Stationery Station in Highland Park, Illinois.
