Recently we sent Kyle, our lead client coordinator, and Mariel, our lead graphic designer, down to Virginia for a trunk show with our friends at The Dandelion Patch in Vienna, Virginia. Here’s a look at their beautiful shop before guests started arriving for the event!
While they were in town for the event, Kyle and Mariel stopped in to see some of our other Smock dealers — including The Dandelion Patch in Georgetown! We spotted a few cute Smock customizations in their window display.
During their stop in Georgetown, Kyle and Mariel also paid a visit to our friends at Hitched. Specializing in both gowns and stationery, Hitched had some darling displays featuring their favorite Smock and Bella Figura invitations. And how cute is that window installation!?
Our team also popped into Just Paper & Tea, another stationery shop in the Georgetown neighborhood.
During their trip, Kyle and Mariel made time to see Toni at The Write Image, too. Toni’s home studio boasts many albums, including every Smock album and several from Bella Figura!
Our team also got a peek inside the Preppy Pink Pony’s brand new location in Mclean! They’re still getting settled in, but here’s a look at their colorful new counter display.

Though the invitation is pretty in its own right, with its die cut shape and metallic edging, the real star of this set is the folio interior. Annie from Hitched worked with our graphic design team to create this unique and elaborate map of the Washington D.C. metro. Offset maps are becoming more and more popular for envelope liners and folio interiors.

We were so excited to get this Tatra invitation set from our creative friends at Hitched. This beautiful wedding set proves that foil stamping in gold matte is the way to go.

Sleeves are fun, especially this sleeve. This letterpress invitation set has a great combination of inks, fonts, and motifs. Hitched is great at working with the Smock Library to create fun, unique designs, and this customization is no exception!

Amber at Hitched in Washington, DC submitted this lovely Odin wedding invitation suite to us for printing. Letterpress printed in our navy ink and a custom purple ink, the combination of these two cool tones brings a feeling of joy to these modern invitations. This set definitely has it all. Each piece is letterpressed on our luxurious 2-ply bamboo paper and matches perfectly back to the charming and vivid invitation. But we think the focal point of this suite is the letterpressed sleeve in our pastis pattern adding even more flair with the beautifully textured lines. We thought this would be a fun and bubbly set to share with you at the start of the summer wedding season!

We’ve really fallen off the deep end for these custom, nautical-inspired letterpress wedding invitations submitted to us by our friend Annie at Hitched in Washington DC. We can’t argue that this is the perfect match to the couple’s wedding venue at South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida. We adore the reply card printed in our hot pink for a real pop of color! The simplistic look and delicate feel of this set nearly has us overboard!
