It’s almost time: the Delavan Center Open Studio event is almost here! The Open Studio will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, November 6, and from 10am-4pm on Saturday, November 7, and over 40 studios in the building will be open during the event. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s a great time to shop and support local artists! We’ll have shopping, tours, printing demonstrations, refreshments, coloring sheets for the kids, and more. You’ll have an opportunity to pull your own letterpress prints on our Vandercook and Heidelberg presses, and back by popular demand: we’ll be hosting wreath-making workshops again this year! We’ll be posting sneak peeks of the products that will be available for sale during the Open Studio on our Facebook event page, so be sure to follow along for updates! 

Workshop sessions will be $12 each, and will last for about an hour. 3 sessions will be available during the times listed below. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session. If you’re unable to attend a session, we’ll also have kits with wreath supplies available for sale at the event!

We love the “dinner date” that Bridal Guide magazine put together featuring our rose gold foil stamped I Heart You card! The at home date night guide was featured in the September / October 2015 issue, and included pretty florals, festive red and white dinnerware, gold flatware and a love note on our card. Photo save the dates are a great way to share engagement photos with family and friends while giving them a heads on your wedding date and location. They’re also an ideal way to share your wedding website, which can include directions, accommodations, photos, sweet stories, registry info, and more. Tie it all together: Tanya and Matthew took advantage of our 6+ printed pieces discount (and saved 10%!) for their wedding stationery. They printed their save the dates and their Barnesly invitations at the same time, and tied it all together by matching the fonts and adding blue to their save the date envelope liners to match the blue watercolor wash on their invitations.

We were thrilled to see our Mr. & Mrs. coasters and our Gold thank you notes in the Fall 2015 issue of Weddingbells magazine! Our letterpress and foil stamped cards and coasters were included in a spread all about the different types of printing options available, including digital printing, foil stamping, and letterpress printing. Thanks again to Weddingbells for the feature – be sure to pick up a copy today! 

Our Halifax design took on a glamorous new look for Effie and Michael’s elegant summer wedding. We created a solid letterpress border around the invitation, then foil stamped a quatrefoil styled pattern on top. The reply card and reception card both mimicked the invitation, with the former picking up the letterpress border and the latter using the same foil border, making for a cohesive set across the board. We letterpress printed flat social notes featuring the names of the bride and groom in our Plaza calligraphy font by Sarah Hanna to round out the couple’s stationery suite.

Samantha and Thomas selected a romantic blush color palette for their July wedding. The couple celebrated at the bride’s family home, and worked with Sweet Paper to customize our Chapman suite. We created chevron invitation sleeves to contain their set, which included invites, reply cards, brunch cards, direction cards, and welcome dinner invitations. Finishing touches included our pink vintage rose patterned envelope liners and corner rounding for a soft, polished look.

For their Aspen wedding, Kelly and Daniel worked with Byrd and Bleecker to create a timeless invitation suite with a dramatic envelope liner. We printed their suite in gold matte foil and espresso letterpress ink, and created an invitation, reply card, and welcome party invitation. The couple kept the invitations and additional pieces simple, opting for a chic, text-based design, and showcased the Rocky Mountains on their stunning gold foil envelope liners.

Nina and Francisco worked with Sarah at the Windmill Paper Boutique to create their coaster save the dates. They created a custom, text-based design and used our Plaza calligraphy font by Sarah Hanna to add a touch of romance. Their save the dates were printed in blue shine foil, and ombre envelope liners in ocean-like hues complemented the wedding locale perfectly.
