Now that we’re back from the National Stationery Show, we’ve been sifting through big stacks of business cards and calling cards we collected while in New York. It got us thinking about how many fun letterpress business cards and calling cards we’ve been printing lately so we thought we’d share a handful of our recent favorites. Like a good letterpress wedding invitation, nothing leaves quite the same lasting first impression as a beautifully designed letterpress business card or personalized calling card.

These custom letterpress business cards for Enchanting Tomorrows were brought to us by the folks at Rugg Road Paper Company in Boston. They are printed in papaya ink on our white bamboo paper and feature a flower motif from our Social Occasions album. We love the unique spin on a traditional business card with a vertical orientation – it’s fun and playful and perfect for Alycia’s wedding consulting and floral design business.

It may go without saying, but around here we are absolutely in love with letterpress business cards – they have become one of our favorite things to print! Letterpress business cards make a lasting first impression, so we’re always excited to design and print them. These particular cards are among our favorites of those we’ve recently printed. Completely custom, featuring the logo of one of our favorite wedding and lifestyle blogs, Elizabeth Anne Designs, these were printed for publisher Ami Price. They are on beautiful 2-ply bamboo paper in 1-color letterpress in classic black ink, paired with edge painting in our wisteria ink that adds just a touch of whimsy. These cards pay homage to classic calling cards, while still being a bit unexpected and fresh. Ami chose a slightly scaled down size that makes them truly unique and one of a kind. We love them!

Here at Smock, we absolutely love working with our fabulous Smock dealers. We are continually and endlessly inspired by the customizations they dream up and love printing fabulous letterpress invitations, save the dates, escort cards, programs, social notes, business cards and so much more for their clients. Having launched at last year’s National Stationery Show, making the trip to New York City for the stationery show this year was especially fun for the Smock team! It was such an incredible opportunity to meet with the awesome stores we work with daily, to introduce ourselves to new stores and to reconnect with friends old and new in the world of paper and letterpress. Plus we were super excited to introduce all of our new designs including new Everyday letterpress cards and gift wrap, three new letterpress wedding invitation designs, and a brand new letterpress and offset Social Occasions album, full of beautifully customizable calling cards, letterhead, hang tags, correspondence cards and social occasion invitations.

Smock’s Creative Director, Amy Graham Stigler, did an amazing job ensuring Smock’s booth was absolutely beautiful – it was such a nice place to be during the show as we introduced our many visitors to Smock! It was a lot of hard work pulling the booth together at the Javitz Center, but luckily we had co-owner Harold on the team to make sure everything went smoothly. And, of course, we couldn’t leave Syracuse without making sure to bring along our #1 Smock team member, Jasper, who is always generous with his smiles and two year old charm.

We’re in love with these letterpress business cards we created for Real Card Company. The front is letterpress printed in sea mist, mango, and taupe — totally inspired colors. The back is the Virelles pattern in sea mist. And the square size is right on — even if you don’t have your own business, these would make sweet letterpress calling cards!
