We were thrilled to spot our Camden and Tensley wedding invitations in the February 2017 issue of Weddings in Houston magazine! The tawny matte Camden suite – complete with a peacock adorned envelope liner – was featured alongside other modern wedding invitations with floral envelope liners and design elements. Our sweet Tensley invitations feature letterpress printing in deep blue ink on our ivory bamboo paper, and were paired alongside other pretty blue invitations (including the Garden Sun invitation from our BFF Bella Figura). We were excited to spot our double-sided Bayberry gift wrap in the September 2016 issue of Gifts and Decorative Accessories Magazine. The feature was all about gift wrapping, and making the exterior of your gift look just as special as what’s inside. Our double-sided gift wraps make it easy to dress up a gift – use the alternating patterns on a gift with multiple boxes, or use a strip of the opposite side of the wrap like ribbon as a finishing touch. The new issue of Weddings in Houston magazine is available today, and their stationery picks are a must-see! They highlighted six different invitation trends, including colorful florals, jewel tones, watercolors, vintage romance, art deco details, and modern metallics. Our Ashbourne invitation suite (with its pink vintage rose patterned envelope liners) was included with the florals, while our Vista suite was showcased in the collection of watercolor designs. Ingalls, a monogrammed suite with letterpress and foil details, was featured alongside a feminine selection of vintage invitations, and our modern Bloomsbury design was matched up with other modern foil stamped designs. Our Greely invitation suite helped set the tone for this rustic chic shoot from the Spring / Summer 2016 Issue of Weddings Unveiled Magazine. Our friends at JCG Events coordinated the entire shoot, while Anthology Co. Floristry created the amazing bouquet, centerpieces, and floral elements used throughout the day. We always love spotting our products on the pages of our favorite magazines! Smock’s been getting some love from HGTV Magazine as well as Woman’s Day and Celebrate. In the April 2016 issue of Woman’s Day, our medium Chartreuse boxes were featured in an article all about getting your home organized as the perfect vessel for mail (and if company comes before you’re ready, just pop on the lid to hide the mess!).
HGTV Magazine has also featured Smock in some recent issues! They used several of our patterned gift wraps in their December 2015 holiday issue about stylish new color combos (recreate the looks with our Dots, Turk, and Shimmer gift wraps). And the September 2015 issue of HGTV featured our wraps right on the cover! They created easy little makeovers by covering magazine holders and boxes with some of our wrap to create cute new office organization tools (for this story, they used our Indigo and Keiko wraps).
Celebrate Magazine also included us in their holiday issue, with lots of cute DIY ideas featuring our cards! They created festive garland, ceramic holiday coasters, and DIY gift toppers by repurposing our Lights Cheer, Love & Joy, Peace on Earth, and Branch Crest cards. Many thanks to all three publications for featuring Smock!
Remember these gorgeous chinoiserie inspired invitations that we featured last year? They were featured in the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings! This job was a team effort by our in-house designers Brenda Fox, who created all of the custom illustrations for the invitation suite, and Mariel Mirra, who did the layout and design work. The suite was inspired by a blue-and-white chinoiserie fruit bowl that sat on the bride’s family kitchen counter while she was growing up. Honor and Jay worked with Phyllis at By Invitation Only to create their custom invitations, which were featured alongside photos from their wedding day in an 8-page spread in the latest issue. We love the copper and navy trend that The Knot recently featured in their spring 2016 issue! Our copper foil Donegal wedding invitations were part of this beautiful page of inspiration, which also included on-trend copper heels and nail polish, a show-stopper cake, and a bold blue bouquet. Last summer we collaborated with California based wedding planner Amy Nichols to create a gorgeous lavender inspiration shoot that’s been featured on both Martha Stewart Weddings and Elizabeth Anne Designs! Our Ingalls suite helped set the tone for the shoot, which took place at Amy’s parents’ avocado and lemon ranch in Santa Paula. Inspired Southern California’s lavender fields, the shoot featured a wide range of purple shades — from the candles to the flowers and even the napkins! Many thanks to Amy for including us in this beautiful shoot!
