Romantic Real Wedding from Peak Xperience
We love hearing a touching love story – the way that a couple meets, falls in love, and seeing these details woven into their wedding day. We were thrilled to find out the story behind the couple that ordered these three color letterpress wedding invitations. Peak Xperience was kind enough to share with us their engagement session, love story, and photos from their gorgeous wedding.

The Garden of Eden inspired the wedding ceremony: lush florals in purples and greens combined with a mix of modern and vintage details set the scene for this jaw-dropping celebration.

Peak Xperience explains, “The reception was kept modern and sophisticated in shades of dark purple, blue and silver. All of the details of their wedding are inspired by their love story, so for the dinner, it was almost like a ‘twilight’ theme (not Twilight the vampire movie!) but twilight as in between sunset & dusk, when the first glimmer of stars begin to appear, the ambiance is romantic and nostalgic.”

We were blown away by the size and beauty of their impressive wedding cake, which towered over the couple! Each tier is incredibly stunning.

Vintage Inspired Letterpress Wedding Invitations
This vintage inspired customization of our Chasseral design was submitted to us by our great friends at LS Amster Company in Scarsdale, New York. We think our eggplant and saffron inks were the perfect pairing for an autumn wedding. The rich colors of the season are seen throughout- so much that it’s easy to see the leaves changing color! The iznik pattern envelope lining in saffron gives off the perfect amount of charm! Complete with direction cards printed on both front and back- these cards tell guests everything they need to know about getting to the celebration! The couple also chose letterpress thank you cards and we cannot think of a better way to show all of your guests your gratitude for being such an important part of your special day. Vintage inspired + autumn color palette = ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!

Bright Colors on Ultramodern Bat Mitzvah Invitations
We think these vibrant Delano Bat Mitzvah invitations are perfectly stylish and feminine. This ultramodern set was submitted to us by our good friends at Proper Notice in Roslyn Heights, New York. The striking color pairing of our orchid and hot pink inks is down right charming. We definitely love unique and clever Bat Mitzvah customizations-especially when they’re this pretty!

Pastel Letterpress Wedding Invitations!
You just might say we have a soft side for pastel ink colors letterpressed on our thick 2-ply bamboo paper-and you would be right. Take a look at these elegant Engadine invitations submitted to us by our good friends at Salutations in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Softer hues have a way of looking peaceful and calm, without being over the top. The highlight is of course the gorgeous folio offset printed on the interior and exterior in the coolest colors to keep things modern. There is a real warmth seen throughout this suite and we adore it!

Midnight + Lavender make these letterpress wedding invitations shine!
Our great friend, Toni at The Write Image in Rockville, Maryland submitted these breathtaking Sabion letterpress invitations to us. Our midnight and lavender inks print beautifully on our thick 2-ply bamboo paper. The couple chose to coordinate their set with two cards that were printed with the lavender front patterning and then two cards were printed with only midnight ink – which makes for a peppy look with contrasting pieces! Corner rounding and a beautiful patterned envelope liner in midnight complete this suite.

Smock Design Contest Winner – Rhon Letterpress Wedding Invitations
Finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for breathlessly for weeks – it’s time to wrap up our first ever Smock Design Contest by sharing our first place winner! This absolutely stunning customization, brought to us by our friends at Real Card Company in Seattle, was the clear favorite, taking our ever-popular Rhon letterpress wedding invitation design and completely reinventing it into something extraordinarily special. We loved it before we even printed it and seeing is believing – the end result is truly beautiful! It was a real favorite of Smock’s Creative Director, Amy Graham Stigler. From the soft romantic colors, pewter and wisteria, to the asymmetrical layout featuring a unique variation of the Rhon floral motif and horizontal orientation, Amy loved how this design was truly personalized to make a one of a kind creation.
Letterpress printed in soft wisteria and pewter inks, this invitation also features chic patterned backing in our rowe pattern in pewter.
While the letterpress invitation itself was printed in 2-color letterpress, the reply card was letterpress printed in 1-color in pewter ink. We love the play between colors and patterns in this incredible set – it’s both elegant and formal, but still fun and just a touch modern. A huge thank you to Real Card Company for collaborating with us on this incredible customization and congratulations on winning the first Smock Design Contest!

Smock Design Contest – Engadine Letterpress Wedding Invitations from Judy Paulen Designs
The first of two honorable mentions in our Smock Design Contest brought to us by Judy Paulen Designs at Bloomingdale’s in New York, we’re completely in love with this chic customization of our Engadine letterpress wedding invitation design. It’s printed in elegant wisteria and pewter inks and features our playful Etienne and Shaw fonts for a finished design that is the perfect blend of traditional elegance and modern sophistication. The set also includes a really lovely letterpress reception card that makes the most of a play between the script Etienne font and the clean look of the sans serif Shaw font. It’s minimal and simple, but still fresh and completely chic.
Thanks so much to our friends at Judy Paulen for sending us this beautiful customization!
Smock Design Contest Winner – Kurai Letterpress Invitations from Wordshop
As promised, we are so excited to share with you all of the beautiful customizations we crowned as our favorites in our recent Smock Design Contest. This incredible customization of our Kurai letterpress wedding invitation is so beautiful and unique, it’s probably pretty easy to see why we love it oh so much. Printed in rich eggplant and raspberry inks, it’s delightfully pretty and wonderfully charming.
Brought to us by Wordshop in Denver, Colorado, this customization makes the most of a unique layout where the branch design is shifted up and the text is rearranged to create a striking visual effect. It’s decidedly modern, but when paired with the richness of the tradition of letterpress, this is a look we can see becoming a new classic.
Featuring corner rounding on all of the pieces, a beautiful letterpress reply card, and a unique petite-sized letterpress website card, this suite is completely personalized with rich details and saturated colors. Thank you so much to the folks at Wordshop for bringing us this beautiful customization!
