Our navy and hot pink inks have never looked so pretty together! Gus & Ruby Letterpress in Portsmouth, New Hampshire submitted this elegant letterpress wedding suite featuring our Engadine design, which looks amazing next to the bouts of color included on the folio. Hot pink envelope liners add a gorgeous pop of color that guests might not be expecting when opening their invitation.

Samantha at Gus & Ruby Letterpress in Portsmouth, New Hampshire has worked with some of the most creative brides this past year, and this modern letterpress suite with its personalized touches is proof of that.  We’re smitten with the custom rope monogram on the invitation. Our navy ink paired perfectly with the custom green ink used on this set, and the edge painting, letterpress belly band and envelope liner totally completed the look.

We couldn’t wait to share this downright adorable set sent to us by our lovely friends Samantha and Liz at Gus & Ruby Letterpress in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Letterpressed in navy ink with playful type, these invitations are overflowing with sweetness. The lime polka dot pattern on the custom offset sleeve gives this set a fun personality. We just can’t get enough!

The lovely ladies at Gus & Ruby Letterpress in Portsmouth, New Hampshire submitted these eye-catching custom wedding invitations for printing.  The oversized scallop shell gives this suite character and makes such an invitation fitting for the wedding celebration at Wentworth by the Sea Country Club.  Talk about matching your invitations to your venue – we think these are a perfect fit! This trendy text based offset invitation suite was submitted to us by our wonderful friend, Liz at Gus & Ruby Letterpress in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  We were told the couple was looking for a type driven suite with a playful type – and we think this invitation encompasses that vision perfectly.  We’re loving the cool hues and the simplicity of this creative suite.  Our taupe and apricot inks simply blend so beautifully on our ivory bamboo paper.  When picturing your own wedding invitation – you should toss in a bit of your own creativity to match back to your wedding venue or personalities.

This pretty letterpress holiday design from Gus & Ruby Letterpress was designed for a fun holiday party. It’s a custom design printed in moss and red inks with a spray of leaves and holly that reminds us of all things merry and bright. Printed on our 1-ply bamboo paper, it’s a budget-friendly approach to custom holiday letterpress. A big thank you to Samantha and Whitney at Gus & Ruby for sending us this lovely design!

Last week my husband and I had the opportunity to visit our favorite place on earth (New England!) in celebration of our first wedding anniversary. I thought I’d share a few highlights from our trip – including visits to a handful of amazing Smock dealers! We stayed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at the Ale House Inn, an independent, locally owned and operated hotel with a commitment to sustainability and eco hospitality practices. Residing in a renovated old warehouse (kind of like Smock!) the hotel features gorgeous rooms boasting a blend of urban and vintage decor and the best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered.

Portsmouth itself is an appropriately named port town with an active and bustling port. It was settled in 1630 with many of the original homes still intact today. There is great food with plenty of options for a vegetarian like me and streets lined with local, independent shops.

New England portrait and wedding photographer Brea McDonald recently planned a baby shower for her good friend, Amber. Hosted at The Blue Elephant in Saco, Maine, she pulled together a beautiful garden-inspired event using her collection of vintage table linens and a bunch of sweet DIY touches. The coolest part? The sweet DIY paper pinwheels she crafted using Smock gift wrap that she purchased at Gus & Ruby Letterpress, one of our beloved Smock dealers. We love this idea! Our gift wraps all feature colorful double-sided patterns printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper. It’s always a treat for us to see the unique ways people put our recycled wrapping paper to work, but these paper pinwheels are definitely one of our favorites!
