Brand new letterpress greeting cards! Happy birthday, love, and more
We just released 21 new letterpress greeting cards, all letterpressed sustainably on bamboo paper, and each with sweetly patterned lined envelopes. They’re the first greeting cards to be letterpressed on eco-friendly bamboo paper (hooray!), and the collection includes happy birthday cards, valentine’s day love cards, sympathy cards, congratulations cards (perfect for baby or engagements or weddings), and mother’s day cards. See the whole letterpress greeting collection – and buy your favorites! – at www.smockpaper.com. Here are a few of our favorites. Enjoy!

One thing I love: ‘our’ lunch dates (by Amy Graham Stigler)
‘OUR’ LUNCH DATE. usually at our favorite sushi spot. although we try to do the occasional ‘date-night,’ lunch dates are a bit easier to squeeze in and they offer the perfect amount of time to reacquaint and revitalize. and afterward i always feel grateful that i have someone as inspired as my husband to share them with.

Letterpress Baby Shower Invitations
This is one sweet and joyful letterpress invitation for a baby shower celebration! All of our wedding invitation designs can be customized to fit whatever occasion and style you have in mind — but we can also do something easily custom, like this invitation, where the client chose her favorite fonts, favorite inks (tangerine and sea mist – how cool!), and favorite pattern for the backing (Champlain!). This card came to us from Cotton Idea Studio in Laguna Beach, California.

One thing I love: my father (by Amy Graham Stigler)
MY FATHER. For countless reasons. But today, on his birthday, I want to celebrate one of his many talents — woodworking. Every Christmas for the past decade or so my Dad has made each of his five children an heirloom worthy piece of furniture. Each piece is a testimony not only to his extraordinary skill, but also to his seemingly limitless generosity. Thank you Dad and Happy Happy Birthday!!

Sweet custom letterpress stationery – gold edging!
This was a great idea we hadn’t seen before — custom letterpress stationery in the size of a reply card. It seems the PERFECT size to us — sweetly intimate, and just enough room to write a nice personal note (but not too much room!). An extra bonus: it uses less paper than larger social stationery cards (eco!), which also makes it less expensive (nice!). This letterpress stationery is in our Haddington invitation design, using our Smock Spencercian fonts (based on our favorite calligrapher’s penmanship). And the gold edge painting! Oh, gold edge painting makes us swoon — we would like to edge everything we could in gold right now. It adds such an elegant finish to a card. Cavall letterpress wedding invitation for a Valentine Day wedding
This is a vibrantly cool variation of our Cavall letterpress wedding invitation design — and it really showcases how back printing & envelope lining can make an invitation unforgettable. This invitation is for a Valentine’s Day wedding, so the mix of a peacock blue-green ink for the invitation, and raspberry ink for the envelope liner and backing, seemed perfect to us. We love the elegant energy of the patterns at play too (the Seneca pattern for the liner — one of our most popular patterns right now — and the Ledon pattern for the backing). We just couldn’t stop looking at this set! This invitation was sent to us by No Regrets in Newton, Massachusetts.
One thing I love: simple desserts (by Amy Graham Stigler)
SIMPLE DESSERTS. I am not much of a baker. Which is to say that although I can bake I rarely do. This has as much to do with the fact that I don’t really need additional sweets in my life with the fact that its a time-constraint thing. But the holidays bring out the baker in me. So here are some of my go-to deserts. Hershey’s bars (my Dad’s favorite) and homemade chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting (also my Dad’s favorite). And Miette always helps with clean up.

Letterpress cards for the Amazon Consersation Association
The Amazon Conversation Association is one amazing environmental nonprofit that we support through 1% for the Planet (we donate 1% of sales to the ACA and the Pesticide Action Network) — but we are also so excited to support the Amazon Conservation Association by printing pro bono these letterpress cards for them this year. Letterpressed on bamboo paper of course….the sweet illustration is by Susan Cousineau, a Los Amigos Researcher in 2008.
Letterpress wedding invitations with custom pocketfold folios – wow
We had to hold ourselves back from posting hundreds of photographs of this Vettore letterpress wedding invitation. Since we custom make each of our pocket folios, clients can choose whatever patterns and ink colors they want on the interior and exterior. So check out this awesome, drop-dead gorgeous folio in spring and pearl inks (interior pattern is clairveaux, the exterior pattern is a custom pattern inspired by the Vettore illustrations). Oh we are totally in love! Sent to us by our friends at Salutations in Charlotte, North Carolina.
